Welcome at Kagyü Samye Dzong Venice
The center was founded in April 2002 by the Venerable Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Abbot and Retreat Master of Kagyü Samye Ling monastery in Scotland, the very first Vajrayana Buddhist Center in the West. The Kagyü Samye Dzong Venice Association is under the guidance of the Venerable Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche and Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Karma Kagyü Lineage Master, co-founder of the Kagyü Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan medicine doctor. Kagyü Samye Dzong Venice welcomes everybody, having as a main goal to be a place of peace, tranquility and meditation where the precious Karma Kagyü skillful means can be studied and practiced. Weekly Activities KSD Venice offers a number of activities throughout the week: on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, including: Shinay (calm abiding meditation) courses and sessions, relaxation with Tara Rokpa Therapy program, explanation of Chenrezig practice and the 16° Karmapa Guru Yoga Puja. Events Through the year the center organizes meetings and initiatives such as meditation retreats, days of practice and study on teachings, and also hosts teachers and masters from Samye Ling, inviting them to conduct retreats and give public conferences about Dharma topics.
