Mantra for the benefit of Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche

During the Kagyü Monlam in Bodhgaya, some people connected with Samye Ling and with the various Samye Dzong had the possibility to meet His Holiness the Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje. During the meeting, His Holiness asked the Sangha to recite the White Tara Mantra for Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche's long life and the Green Tara Mantra (OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA) for Akong Tulku Rinpoche.

Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche approved our proposal to collect, by the end of this year, 10.000.000 recitations of these two mantras: 5.000.000 for White Tara and 5.000.000 for Green Tara. This in cooperation with all the Samye Dzong and all those who feel connected with Samye Ling.

We have received, both as centres and as individual practitioners, so many benefits from our connection with Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Rinpoche. Therefore we think this is a wonderful opportunity to give our contribution to the activity of these two Masters, to make stronger our connection with them and to protect a place, Samye Ling, which is like a root, a firm base, for all of us. Moreover, we are sure this is also a very good method for all the groups to know each other much better.

If you want to support the Green Tara and White Tara mantra collection, let us know. From time to time you can let us know how many mantras you have recited, both personally or with the group. A special page on our Internet site will be dedicated to that, therefore everyone will be able to check how the mantra collection is going on.

You can ask that your name is put on the list of the participants and you can send us a short message to thank Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Rinpoche. All of that will be published on our Internet site, both in the Italian and the English version.

At the end of this year, during which we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Samye Ling's foundation, we will send the names' list and the messages, like an offer and special thanks from all of us, to Akong Rinpoche and Lama Yeshe Rinpoche
